Is it real or just a wild rumor? You'll have to decide for yourself.
The story goes, as told by Gronk's ex-teammate Jake Bequette, is that Gronk would often stay out until early in the morning and have his friends drop him off at Gillette Stadium where he would use his key-fob to get into the Patriots training room and pass out on one of the training tables.
When the training staff got to the building a few hours later they would quietly enter the training room and set Gronk up with an IV to help his hangover when he woke-up a bit later on.

"After a couple hours, he would just wake up like Frankenstein revived, and go out there and just kick ass," Bequette said.
Ya have to admit, it is a bit far-fetched, but it's Gronk we're talking about here, so I'm on the fence on this one.
One person who isn't buying the story is another of Gronk's ex-teammates - Julian Edelman. "Story is BS. Everyone wants to paint Gronk as a party animal. When in reality he was one of the most dedicated teammates I had," Edelman said.
Ok, maybe it didn't happen often, but I have to assume that Beguette didn't just make-up a story like that. I'd have to assume it happened at least once.
Just chalk it up as Gronk does what Gronk wants to do, and getting to a place where you can get an IV while your sleeping off a good night out seems like a wise decision to me.
