Steelers LG Ramon Foster Carted Off The Field On Friday

It didn't look good at all. DE Stephon Tuit rolled into the side a LG Ramon Foster during drills on Saturday and the 6'5" 328Lb 32-year old was carted off the field shortly after.

The team feared the worst as trainers stabilized the his right knee before carefully getting him on the cart to be taken away for further tests. As of early Sunday morning it was being reported that the team was now optimistic that the injury isn't as serious as first thought.

Foster has started at least 14 games in each of the past seven seasons, a sign of his durability and reliability, and to see him go down during the first practice of the season in pads was tough for many of his teammates, who dropped to one knee and looked to the sky and asked for good news instead of what looked like the worst-case scenario at the time.

Another crushing blow to Foster is that he is in the last year of his contract and was hoping to play a few more years under a new one with the team. That will now certainly depend on how severe this knee injury is, but as of now it appears Foster may be ready for week-1 on September 9th in Cleveland.
