The Bears needed a field goal to beat the Broncos in Denver and they had 31-seconds to do it with the ball at their own 25-yardline.
The way the two teams got to this point was a story in itself, but the way the Bears got to the Broncos' 36-yardline to give their kicker the opportunity to win the game was a disgrace to officiating and to the sport of football.
Two plays before the Bears won the game on that kick, Broncos' Bradley Chubb was handed a personal foul for roughing the passer. Most people who have watched the game of football prior to 1:00pm this past Sunday feel as though Chubb was flagged for trying to tackle the quarterback. Now we all know that the league is trying hard to protect QB's, but this one was a new low for a league that appears to be sinking lower by the week.
